NEW: Pulsar – The next generation of our balancing machine measurement software

A new chapter in measurement and balancing technology from Hofmann begins with Pulsar. After intensive development, we are pleased to present our new measuring software for balancing machines. The modern measuring system was specially developed for the requirements of industrial rotor balancing and complements our existing software portfolio. Pulsar thus seamlessly fits in alongside Orbistar for runout tests and Quasar for high and overspeed tests, expanding Hofmann's powerful software solutions for modern balancing technology.

Precision – Inspired by the Stars

The name Pulsar was chosen deliberately. In astronomy, pulsars are highly magnetized neutron stars that rotate at tremendous speeds, emitting electromagnetic radiation at regular intervals. This so-called lighthouse effect produces extremely precise and reliable signals that astronomers use for navigation, mapping, and highly accurate time measurements, among other things.

These exact characteristics are also reflected in our new balancing software. Pulsar was developed to ensure precise measurement results, high repeatability, and maximum process reliability when balancing rotors.

Developed for the user

In addition to high measurement accuracy, the focus was primarily on modern and intuitive operation. The completely newly developed user interface was designed so that users can work quickly and efficiently, regardless of their experience with the measurement software or the respective balancing machine.

A clear design, logically structured menus, and carefully selected colors, icons, and buttons make navigation easy and ensure a smooth workflow. The integrated polar diagram visualizes the unbalance measurement and current balancing progress in real-time. The central data center allows for convenient management and editing of stored rotor types, while guided workflows lead the user step-by-step through the static and dynamic balancing process. Different correction methods and correction positions provide the necessary flexibility for a wide range of rotors and applications.
